Devotedly grown at very high altitude in the rich volcanic mountains of Costa Rica. Naranjo coffees offer a unique combination of fantastic natural chocolate-like sweet and smooth invigoration energy; These fantastic coffees are a result of a culture of hard work, dedication and passion for producing coffees in a natural way that spreads all across the cooperative. Grown at an average height of 4500 feet, Coffees from the Naranjo region are famous for their chocolate sweetness, wonderful aromas of tropical fruits notes and mild acidity.

CooproNaranjo was founded in 1968 by a small group of coffee farmers in the Naranjo region in the Central Valley of Costa Rica. The holistic and vital support the association gives to its members has made it grow today to a 2338 membership, 95% of them being small farmers and 40% women; the cooperatives gives support to its members in many way, from framing advise to microloans to sales and distribution, resulting in coffees of superior quality and truly known origin.

 

The Cooperative located in Naranjo, in the Central Valley region, this area has produce the winner of the Cup of Excellence twice in the last 3 years. Costa Rica is known for its large biodiversity, micro-climates and rich volcanic soils, a combination that creates the  perfect environment to grow coffee.  Coffees grown in the Naranjo region are very well balanced with wonderful aromas of tropical fruits that is accentuated by chocolate sweetness.
