Finca Santa Elena is a limited edition hand picked coffee from a single estate in Carrizal de Alajuela on the slopes of the Poas Volcano at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level (5,250 feet). The soil here is slightly acidic due to volcanic ashes making it rich in organic matter and favoring humidity retention, good distribution of roots and facilites oxygenization all the desirable soil qualities for coffee trees.
The air in this high altitude area together with the care that goes to the plants allows us to offer one of the highest quality coffees in the world - its citric notes with chocolate aromas make this a unique gourmet Costarican coffee!
